INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION

The Aggship is a small, local sports media outlet that covers exactly one team: Utah State Athletics, plus previews of whoever's next on the schedule. Their old brand worked fine for where they'd been. It wasn't built for where they were headed.

THE CHALLENGE

THE CHALLENGE

This started as a website update, not a rebrand. We had to make the case, piece by piece, that the existing identity was actually holding back growth and traffic before the client would commit to a refresh.

THE SOLUTION

THE SOLUTION

The colors stayed: blue, navy, yellow, orange, silver — all tied to The Spectrum, USU's basketball arena, since basketball is one of the outlet's most-covered sports. A mountain range graphic gives the brand something recognizable and locally specific, so it reads as unique without losing approachability.

THE RESULTS

THE RESULTS

The website, the social accounts, and the podcast finally feel like one brand instead of three separate things. The next phase is watching that cohesion turn into subscriber growth and deeper loyalty. A brand that feels like one thing instead of three builds the kind of recognition that turns casual followers into subscribers.
