ProFlare Baseball was created by a Baseball player himself. It stemmed from the problem of when you hit a baseball with your bat and your hand hits the knob of the bat it can hurt your hand, reduce power in your swing, and throw off your form. But the only solutions were a "one size fits all", but everyone's grip is different.

The desire was to create something that can stand tall against other competitors who operate in the same industry.

Therefore, we did extensive amounts of research into what other baseball accessory companies do for social media, advertisements, illustrations, icon styles. Anything they did we asked "why?" and tried to figure out how we could do it differently.

We wanted to create a brand mark that could represent the brand name as well as the product. It challenged us to decide what was more important, the monogram or the primary logo. There were so many great options and directions we could go with.

The ProFlare team wanted that to be the main focus to be on the Primary mark instead of the monogram. This meant we needed to focus on what it looked like and let the other logo variations follow.

Arranging our process to focus on one section helped us to narrow in a direction. This focus helped us to build out the rest of the marks with realative ease.

Adding the colors and the personality to the logo is what really gave it the athletic action that was intended to be behind the brand.

While the product is still being rolled out, the identity has allowed for it to carve out her own space in the industry. They are able to make their name heard and known all while starting to grow.

This identity is the perfect combination of old school sports aesthetic and modern brand identity. This case study illustrates that workmark based logos can be done well and also adjusted to fit the needs of ProFlare in any application.
