The custom type system that we created featured letterforms that are sharp and bold. This typeface, as apart of the Forge brand, will be featured only as a display typeface providing a way to connect small parts of the magazine or other elements to the main logo. Headlines and other layout items will be featured in a different typeface.

Similar to the typeface, the visual language mimics the highs and lows of the target audience as they seek to overcome challenges. It features a strong grid accompanied by intentional diagonals.

As laid out in the exerpt above, the layout and visual language features a strong grid that ocasionally has a diagonal line. While these layouts may appear to break the grid, it all sits correctly on the underlying grid.
