Utah State is a non-power conference in the NCAA D1 classification. Because of that, there isn't a massive amount of true supporters and with that there is a lot of people who over look the smaller "Mid-Major" programs.

Fieldhouse Limited want to create a specific hat line for the Aggies and just the Aggies. That means alumni creating for alumni and current students, highlighting history, traditions, and memorable moments through merchandise.

This brand wanted to connect with the alumni and students of their university. For the Utah State University students and alumni, the Fieldhouse building is where many athletic events were held specifically basketball events where, College Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, Wayne Estes played.

The challenge with this brand was finding a way to connect to Utah State Students and Alumni. But, this is an amazing idea that I believe many other smaller colleges and universities should do something like this. Finding the moments or traditions that connect with your target audience is what creates a successful business.

We found moments that resonated with the team and tried to expound upon those. Specifically the school song and one of its most recognizable buildings.

While doing our best to refrain from using styles that are commonly attributed to other hat brand companies, we tried to find unique ways to showcase the best of USU.

The important part in the creation process was creating something that felt familiar not nostalgic. I wanted the audience to feel like they could align with this because it felt like something they would love, it felt like a brand that they could be a loyal member of.

In the end, what we created was two seperate drops. One that highlighted campus life and "being an Aggie" and a second drop that highlighted the fanactic side.

This project was so fun, however the best part is seeing how well the company does and which hats do well. Taking that information and reevaluating that for future projects has been super successful for them and for us.
